100% American-made & sourced, The Qiviut Beanie was knitted by an Alaska-based artisan. This beanie is made with 60% qiviut and 40% merino wool with a 1x1 rib. The Qiviut Beanie is softer than cashmere because of its majority fiber content being qiviut, wool from the delicate and highly insulating undercoat of a muskox which is the world's finest and highest quality fiber. The qiviut used in this hat was provided by the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center off of Jasper, one of their resident muskoxen.

These body lengths are an estimation as each pullover is created with it's own unique body length based on the type of fabric and design.

All items are shipped from our fulfillment center Downtown Detroit. We offer three methods for shipping, all via The US Postal Service:

  • First Class Parcel Post (For packages 15oz and under), 3-8 days
  • Priority, 2-3 days
  • Priority Express, 1-2 days

You will have an option to select the method that best fits your shipping needs at check out. We offer free shipping within the US on orders over $75, and risk free returns at no charge. Our international customers are responsible for any customs or import fees that occur when the product arrives to your country. For all EU customers, VAT will be collected by the shipping carrier on delivery for orders up to €150.

Packages are shipped from Detroit, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, and Friday 9am - 12pm.

The Qiviut Beanie

Carefully sourced, designed and knitted in partnership with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC), the qiviut wool came from the undercoat of Jasper, one of sixteen within the muskox herd at the AWCC. The majority of this beanie's fiber contents was crucial in the prehistoric muskox arctic survival for over 600,000 years.

Beanie

Gave it to my wife at Christmas and she loves it. It has some special meaning to us because we were at the preserve a few years back when we drove from Ohio to alaska. Been there twice. We really enjoy the hat. Thanks for offering it to us. Jim McCarty
