In the quiet wild of Norway’s Dovrefjell, Kaspar captured this young muskox calf — barely five months old, already over 220 pounds, and thickening his coat for the winter ahead. With a mouthful of grass and his mother just behind him, he stands in that fleeting stage between innocence and instinct. Born at barely 20 pounds, his growth is remarkable, but survival is never guaranteed — harsh winters cut many stories short. Soon, his mother’s milk will run dry, and he’ll rely solely on the land. For now, he grazes Grønbakken’s green hill, unaware of the trials that come with the snow. A quiet portrait of strength in the making.
